I study how geospatial science can advance climate adaptation and conservation planning. My research focuses on developing spatial models and decision-support frameworks that connect ecological processes, landscape connectivity, and social priorities to guide land conservation and stewardship. This work integrates GIS, remote sensing, and scenario analysis to support data-driven decision-making for climate resilience across local and regional scales, and for both ecosystems and the communities that depend on them.

As Principal of Tom Robinson Consulting, I apply these approaches in partnership with public agencies and NGOs across California. My teaching emphasizes preparing the next generation of environmental professionals to understand natural systems, communicate their dynamics, and translate data into action.

I hold a B.S. in Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution from the University of California, San Diego, and an M.S. in Geographic Information Science from San Francisco State University. I am also a Switzer Environmental Leadership Fellow.
